A primary issue is the lack of work being done at the New Mexico State Capitol to address the needs and concerns of ALL New Mexicans. This is by design of the Legislature; as a "Volunteer" Legislature, it keeps out competition for elected officials and maintains the Lobbyists' control over policy through the incentives they provide to our State Senators and Representatives. We are the ONLY Volunteer Legislature left in the entire Nation, and our results speak for themselves. OUR Legislators will be paid by and work for New Mexicans, Over Party Or Lobby, Period!

A Legislative body that is "In Session" for ONLY 90 Days Over Two Years must also come to an end! New Mexicans deserve a body that solves problems ALL Year Long!

New Mexico has also been home to Several Corruption "Scandals" in Leadership roles across our state. These crimes must be addressed, and those responsible must be held to the highest standards and to the fullest extent of the law to ensure New Mexico has a brighter tomorrow!

The Recruitment and Influence of Minors for Criminal Activity has made our Juveniles targets for Gangs, Cartels, and Organized Crime. New Mexico must hold those who commit crimes accountable for their actions. We must also hold accountable those who recruit and influence our children to commit crimes.

Resolving Other Chronic Issues in Education, CYFD, Healthcare Access, Public Safety, Medical Malpractice, Agriculture, Housing, Economics, Water Access, and Infrastructure are ALL TOP Priorities for Governor Smith. Governor Smith will solve these issues at the State level by meeting with all who are willing to come to the table and work through the problems together as a state. No more Pitting New Mexicans against each other, or shutting out Parties and Individuals who disagree with the Governor.
